This is a very useful tool for drying your pets after a bath, but - in essence - you're basically getting a souped-up specialized hair dryer very similar to the one you use yourself. The device itself is pretty large. It emits very warm air.My dog is very skittish to any hint of grooming, and the noise from this device - while not overly obtrusive to me - did send her inching away in the opposite direction. There are brush tines where the hot air comes out, enabling you to use the pet hair dryer to brush the hair directly after the bath. On the top of the device, there is a button you can push forward to remove the pet hair that bunches up on the tines.Overall, I think this device is very useful and it's a solid value for the price.
Love being able to brush and dry with one hand. The 3 temps are great. The hottest setting is not too hot, and is great for doing a quick overall dry. It’s much quieter than my regular hair dryer that I was using. Love how the hair comes right out of the brush when you press the button. Overall I’m very pleased with this purchase.
If you’ve tried to brush your damp pup, while holding a hair dryer, and also trying to contain a feisty pup who just wants to zoom around the house, you know how difficult of a task it can be. I had no clue this type of dryer even existed, but the moment I saw it, I was checking out. Anything to make the grooming process easier is worth it in my book. Well I ripped open this package when it arrived and I was SO impressed when I plugged it in. This is just like a regular hair dryer, only with a slicker brush attached! I was surprised to discover the settings are like cool, medium and warm temperatures but the medium temp has the quietest speed, the cool and warm have louder speeds.I will be very clear, this is NOT a quiet dryer by any means. Since it’s like a regular hair dryer, it’s just as loud as a regular dryer, because of this, I highly suggest getting your pup comfortable with it before using it on them after a bath. To get my pup comfy, I started by just using the brush her without even plugging in the dryer or using any drying settings. Once she was calm and comfortable with just the brush, I turned on the dryer to the second setting (which is the quietest) and I brushed her with that setting again until calm and comfortable. I made sure she was comfortable with the dryer and brush being used on her while she’s totally dry before doing it after a bath. It took us 6 days of brushing with the dryer before I gave her a bath and tried the dryer and it worked beautifully! She laid down and just enjoyed the process and I wasn’t struggling to hold a brush and a dryer and a dog all at once. This made the bathing/drying process immeasurably easier on both of us. I will never, ever go back to the old way of drying my pup with my hair dryer in one hand, the brush in the other and me crawling all over trying to catch and contain a wet, wiggly pup.The dryer has the ability to easily clean the brush off with a button, for those shedding pups, so this should work for any t.
This little tool has already paid for itself. Just finished washing my mom's doggo. He is really old and fragile. My mom, who recently passed away, had me carting her dirty little rat dog to the hair dressers once a month. It cost her $39 for a wash and fluff plus a $10 tip. I am not paying for this simple service. Especially when the most important tool is listed at $22. I saved $27! This dryer is easy to handle and the temperature is perfect. Biscuit might give this a 1 star, but I give it 5!
We have a bichon frisee . Giving him bath is always a trouble , for both sides . He just hates the bathtime . I understand , his hair is super fine and gets tangled all the time . I thought a hairdryer with brush would help . And actually it did . But not in the beginning . When his hair dried a bit , it was easier to brush him .The machine has three settings . Cold , warm and hot . Hot setting is not that hot as human hairdryers , so it wasn’t an issue . The machine also has a hair releaser push button to easily remove the collected hair . The thing itself feels cheap and kinda awkward , but it works . If I was using it on my late bulldog , it would have worked perfectly , for bichon , not that easy . I would recommend this , but if you have a kind of dog needs brushing like ours , it would be a bit of hassle . Just to let you know .
